BREEDERS OF COLOURED STANDARDBREDS
Just jogged up(7 weeks) the two 3yr old fillie's,Native's Prides first crop and were dropped off at the trainers to see if they have what it takes to be a race horse so fingers crossed one of them atleast is ok!!
Last foal was born and what a beauty he is, from the 8 foals born, 7 are by Native Snow Warrior and he left 6 coloured with the other one being a roan has got colour from mum.Check out my 2009 foals page to see the foals born.
First foal arrived at Native Stud, out of Sylivas Harmony and first foal by Native Snow Warrior.
A lovely coloured colt that looks to have both mum and dads genes to be Homozygous(which means will leave 100% colour to any mare he is bred to)have just sent away hair samples for testing to confirm if Homozygous, Results came back and he is Homozygous.
Very very wet here at Native Stud,worse wet winter for a long time but all the horses are doing well.
Have just got Native Snow Warrior back from the trainer for a break and he will go back later on,have just broken him to saddle and he's very very quiet which was a bit of a suprise as he's a bit of a shit in the paddock.
Just going to lightly ride George over the winter until breeding season.
All breeds foal show was held and we took all 5 weanling along for a outing.
All 5 babies were very good and coped with everything that went on.
Placed in every class with 3 straight wins in the breeders pair,foals by the same sire and matching pair of foals.
Native's Brite Spark(Sparky) and Native Snow Warrior(George) are both with trainers to see if they will make race ponies.
Sparky is now a 3yr old and shows plenty of abililty as a trotter,hopefully she shows the speed of her full brother Heza Brite Native(3 wins).
George is just a 2yr old and has just stood his first season at stud but now has to see what he can do on the track, has had a year off since being at the trainers so will be interesting to see how much he has improved.
